HurtMatch sends transactional SMS only — case-status updates and confirmations to people who explicitly opted in by submitting their case information on hurtmatch.com or by phone at (888) 487-8150. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. We do not sell, share, or redistribute phone numbers to third-party marketers.
You opt in to receive SMS from HurtMatch by submitting your case information on our website (the form at hurtmatch.com/#quiz) or verbally during an inbound call to (888) 487-8150 with our intake assistant. The opt-in checkbox states:
"By submitting, I agree to HurtMatch's Privacy Policy and SMS Terms. I consent to receive transactional SMS at the number I provided regarding my case. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time."
You will receive one or more of the following message types after submitting your case info:
1. Case-receipt confirmation (sent within 1 minute of submission)
HurtMatch: We received your case info. A vetted Texas attorney will call you within 30 min during business hours. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
2. Attorney-match update (sent when your case is forwarded to a Texas firm)
HurtMatch: Your case has been forwarded to a vetted Texas attorney. Expect a call from them shortly. Reply STOP to opt out.
3. Follow-up check-in (sent 24-48 hours later, only if you haven't responded to the attorney)
HurtMatch: Quick check-in. Did the attorney reach you? Reply YES or NO. Reply STOP to opt out.
4. Final follow-up (sent within 7 days, only if no contact)
HurtMatch: We want to make sure you got connected. Call us back at (888) 487-8150 or reply with your status. Reply STOP to opt out.
Maximum 4 messages per case. No promotional or recurring messages. Once your case is closed or you opt out, you will not receive further messages from HurtMatch about that case.
HurtMatch does not charge for SMS. Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier depending on your plan. Check with your carrier if you are unsure.
You may opt out at any time by replying with any of these keywords to any HurtMatch message:
You will receive one final confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out, then no further SMS from HurtMatch.

HurtMatch sends SMS via Twilio Inc. The mobile carriers that deliver these messages (including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular) are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS may be delayed or undelivered due to factors outside HurtMatch's control.
Information you share with HurtMatch is governed by our Privacy Policy. HurtMatch does not share, sell, or rent SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is shared only with the vetted Texas attorney we match you with for the purpose of contacting you about your case.
HurtMatch is a Texas legal referral service, not a law firm. The information on this site, including SMS we send, is for general purposes only and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The current version is always at https://hurtmatch.com/sms-terms. Material changes will be communicated via SMS to active opted-in users.
